ALL PURPOSE HOOP SMALL

  • 65mm wide at top, 55mm wide at base, 80mm tall, with base.
  • This is the smallest hoop in stock, to provide a small cheese. Something different such as a very small (bite-size almost) mini Camembert or Brie
  • .Will require 150ml approximately of milk but this will vary depending on cheese styles and yields.
  • It is traditionally used for lactic acid set (Chabichou style) cheeses but can be used for rennet set cheese such as a mini camembert or Feta.  The volume of curds to fil the hoop is very small, so you can make ‘bite size’ Camembert’s or lactic curds.
  • Made from medium strength food grade HDPE.

ALL PURPOSE HOOP MEDIUM

  • 95mm diameter at top, 80ml at base, 95mm tall, with base.
  • Will require approximately 700ml of milk but this will vary depending on cheese styles and yields.
  • This is a great all-round hoop that can be used for nearly any type of non-pressed cheese: Feta, Lactic Acid/Persian Feta, White mould, blue vein, washed rind ….
  • Made from medium strength food grade HDPE.

ALL PURPOSE HOOP LARGE

  • 120mm diameter at top, 100 mm tall, 105mm diameter at base, with base.
  • Will require approximately 1.0 to 1.5 litres of milk but this will vary depending on cheese styles and yields.
  • This is a great all-round hoop that can be used for nearly any type of non-pressed cheese: Camembert./Brie, Greeak Feta, Lactic Acid/Persian Feta, blue vein, washed rind ….
  • Made from medium strength food grade  HDPE.

Making cheese prior to the course is not essential but it is very strongly recommended. I have found that over many years of providing cheesemaking courses, having some basic cheesemaking experience before you get to the course is an enormous help with taking in the information provided at the course.
