- These rennet tablets can be used in all cheese.
- Each rennet tablet will clot between 25 – 50 litres milk.
- This is a vegetarian rennet product.
- Best before is 24 months from date of manufacture but activity will remain very high well past this date.
- Store in a cool dry place out of direct sunlight.
- Do not freeze.
- Dissolve the rennet tablet in 20ml – 40ml of previously boiled, then cooled to ambient temperature water, before adding to the milk. Do not add the rennet to hot water.
- The clotting time is dependent on milk acidity, temperature, milk composition and milk quality.
- My personal preference is to use liquid rennet as opposed to rennet tablets.
