The Pressed Cheese Cheesemaking kit will allow you to make 100’s of different styles of pressed (hard pressed and soft pressed) cheese from Cheddar Cheese, Parmesan, Swiss Styles, Edam/Gouda down to Raclette and Reblochon. The kit includes a Farmhouse Cheddar, Parmesan and Soft Washed Rind Swiss Cheese recipes and notes. The kit also comes with a Simple Easy Cheese recipe to get you using some of the cheesemaking steps before you start making pressed cheeses.
The recipes and notes provided with this cheesemaking kit do not replace the 14 hours of hands-on cheesemaking provided at the two-day Intensive Cheesemaking Courses, where many finer points of cheesemaking are discussed and put into practice.
There are a few additional items that you may want to consider purchasing with this kit but they have not been included as some people have them already. These items can be purchased from this web site before ‘checking out’. These items include:
- Cheese press (several types available) but the small sizes are large enough for most home cheesemakers
- One of the thermometers
