Suitable for washed rind cheese
This professional wrap is specifically made for Washed Rind cheese. The wrap is semi-opaque in appearance and is formulated to control the maturation of wash rind cheese which can be quite moist and can potentially have a sticky surface.
All washed rind cheeses should be dry before wrapping, so there is no moisture or condensation on the surface when they are wrapped. Moisture will slowly kill off the bacterial wash on the rind and then the cheese starts to breakdown (in a very non-pleasant washed rind way) on the surface.
Always place the matt (not the gloss) side against the cheese.
